Milariba Buddha Pavilion is located in Hezuo city, Tibetan Amdo area of Gansu Province, which founded in 1777AD, the original building has been destroyed in the "Cultural Revolution." The existing building was rebuilt in 1988 and finished in 1992. Milariba Buddha Pavilion was built in honor of Milarepa Buddha, its one of the most important monasteries of Gelugpa Sect in the Tibetan region of Amdo.
The Pavilion is dedicated to worshiping Milariba, the most legendary and well known of the Tibetan people. It is nine-stories high, enshrined with the statues of Milarepa and his disciples, the founders of different schools in Tibetan Buddhism, as well as Bodhisattvas and guardians totally 1720.
The huge murals in the building can well reflect the teaching of Tibetan Buddhism, and they were painted by highly skilled artists and have a high artistic value.
