On the morning of February 18th, the Fourth Dunhuang Cultural Tourism Supplier Conference in Northwest China commenced at the Dunhuang International Convention and Exhibition Center. The event attracted over 500 participants from various sectors including cultural and tourism departments, industry organizations, scenic spots, travel agencies, catering services, hotels, and cultural creative industries from Gansu, Qinghai, Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, and other regions.
Fu Hu, the Deputy Mayor of Dunhuang City, attended the opening ceremony. He highlighted Dunhuang's resource advantages and recent achievements in the cultural tourism sector. Fu expressed his anticipation for in-depth cooperation with suppliers from across the Northwest in areas such as culture, tourism, and economic trade, aiming for mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.
During the ceremony, new member units of the Dunhuang Travel Agency Association were officially recognized. Awards such as the Strategic Alliance Award, Outstanding Partner Award, and Sincere Cooperation Award were presented to 33 supplier units from the Northwest. Additionally, representatives from the Haixi Prefecture, Jiayuguan, Wuwei City, and the Alxa Right Banner Propaganda Department (Cultural Tourism and Broadcasting Bureau), along with cultural tourism enterprises and some suppliers from Gansu, Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, and Qinghai, promoted their cultural tourism resources, product lines, and preferential policies.
The conference, spanning four days, will facilitate face-to-face negotiations and business exchange sessions between over 100 suppliers from Gansu, Qinghai, Xinjiang, and Inner Mongolia, covering scenic spots, travel agencies, catering, hotels, and cultural creative industries, and Dunhuang's tourism enterprises. The event aims to further promote cultural and tourism exchange and cooperation among the provinces and cities of Gansu, Qinghai, Xinjiang, and Inner Mongolia, advance the construction of the Greater Dunhuang Cultural Tourism Economic Circle, and foster cultural tourism linkage among the "Four Provinces and Twelve Cities."
